Our Story

We’ve both loved games for as long as we can remember.

Board games as kids. Consoles as teenagers. Card games, collectibles, Dungeons & Dragons campaigns that ran late into the night. Games weren’t just entertainment. They were how we competed, connected, and had fun with people we care about. My names Drew, and alongside Miles, we are the founders of White Horse Games, an independent board game company based in the UK. Our goal is to bring our incredible gaming experiences to you..

White Horse Games started as a set of conversations. In pub corners after events. In long voice notes. In notebooks full of mechanics that almost worked. We lived two hours apart. I had young children and we both had good corporate careers which taught us how to run a business but it didn’t fulfill us. Our passion for board games happened in the margins. Late nights. Weekends. Kitchen tables covered in prototypes.

Miles has always been obsessive about design and product quality. He notices details most people don’t. He cares about how pieces feels in your hands, and the experience you come away with. At the game table, he’s patient and precise. He’ll quietly gather resources, build the perfect engine, and win through optimisation.

I’m different. I like tension. I’ll take risks. I’ll form alliances and break them if it pushes the game forward. I want movement at the table, energy and interaction.

That contrast became the foundation of White Horse Games.

We went through dozens of game ideas and designs before anything felt right. Not bad ideas. Just incomplete ones. We weren’t chasing a single title. We were trying to define what our games should feel like. Strategic, interactive, fast-paced, and worth replaying.

Our company name harks back to where we grew up in the Southwest of England. Our school houses were named after the chalk white horses that are carved into the Wiltshire hills. They were part of our landscape.

White Horse Games isn’t a side hustle, it’s a commitment. We’re building this seriously, with the aim of creating games you are proud to own and excited to bring to the table.
